From a Small Clinic to One of Houston County's Busiest Veterinary Hospitals
Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospital opened in 1999 in a 1,000 square feet leasehold on Highway 96 in Bonaire, Georgia. Thanks to the awesome clients of Middle Georgia this upstart clinic has grown into one of the busiest veterinary hospitals in Houston County.
Today, our 7,000+ square foot state-of-the-art facility is equipped with digital radiography, a full surgical suite, in-house pharmacy, and a boarding hotel for your four-legged family members. Dr. Hodges and Dr. Ferguson bring Tuskegee University training and decades of hands-on experience to every patient they see.

Dr. Vernard L. Hodges, DVM
Co-Founder & VeterinarianA Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine graduate, Dr. Hodges founded Critter Fixer in 1999. His infectious energy and genuine love for animals made him a natural fit for the National Geographic Wild series.
Dr. Terrence Ferguson, DVM
Co-Owner & VeterinarianAlso a Tuskegee graduate, Dr. Ferguson joined the practice and helped build it into a 7,000+ square foot hospital. His calm, methodical approach to medicine complements the team perfectly.
